Are you like me and haven’t started Christmas shopping yet? I know. I’m terrible. I’m pretty sure everyone around me is done already, but I just haven’t been able to get into the holiday mood!
So since I am last minute shopping anyways, I thought I would share some of my favourite gifts to get for others.
I’m not sure if you know this, but no one in the history of ever has had enough bag clips. Nope. You may think you do, but one frightful day you will run out and say “Are you serious? We have like a million of these and we are using all of them?!” So buy your friend these wonderful clips so they don’t have to worry about that anymore.
I have wanted these claws for so long. They were on our wedding registry and they just never got bought. They have excellent reviews and seem like they would be a really great way to get out that pent-up anger. Take it out on the meat. Check out the pulled pork claws here
Exploding Kittens is what I got my husband for Christmas 2 years ago. I bought it having no idea how to play the game, only knowing that it had an awesome name and that it was a 2 player game. We really like this game, because it’s fun and competitive, but it doesn’t take too much brain activity.
You know Settlers of Catan right? I think most people do. Husband and I really really like that game, but we ran into the problem of there being only 2 of us, and you just can’t do Settlers with 2 people. When we saw this card game version of the game that could be played with only 2 people, we bought it immediately. It’s one of our favourite games. It has the added bonus of only taking 20 minutes to play, and it is just as fun as Settlers.
This was my Christmas present last year, and it is incredible. This hair turban will soak up 70% of the moisture in your hair in 10 minutes. If you have thick hair like mine, you know what a big deal this is. Whenever I go on trips I always forget to bring it and regret it, because using a towel to dry my hair takes soooooo much longer.
If you haven’t heard, I got an Instant Pot on Black Friday. It was my Christmas present from my Husband and I am in love. It’s amazing and I can’t wait to learn how to make more than just potatoes and chicken in it. I would recommend getting this for that special person who likes to cook but always forgets to take the chicken out of the freezer in time.
These salt and pepper grinders are. the. bomb. I have them and I can’t recommend them enough. They hold a lot of salt/pepper so you don’t have to constantly refill them, and they work like a dream. I really really love that they come with a lid, to keep gross things out of your grinder, but also so that you can measure out the amount of salt/pepper you want into your lid before pouring it into your food. They aren’t kidding when they say gourmet.
It’s simply a fact that there is no better way to mince garlic than through a press, and this is the one we have and love. It takes all the work out of trying to get garlic pieces as small as I can, and I’ve even cheated sometimes and not peeled the garlic before I put it through the press.
My husband and I have been really into cookbooks lately. He’s got me started on it so that we have more fancy meals (apparently he got sick of eating the same thing all the time lol). But we quickly realized that we need a kitchen scale stat if we are going to be able to make half of these recipes. So far we’ve just been guessing (a pound is like, a really big handful of chopped potatoes, right??) but this is on my Christmas list this year and I’m hoping I get it.
I have a whole post about this potato ricer ready to go, so I won’t give too much away, but these are amazing. They make the softest mash potatoes you’ve ever experienced in your life, and they make it so that you don’t have to peel the potato before mashing it! I am not kidding. It’s fantastic.
Those are my ideas for this year! I hope you find something you like or like for someone else. All of the pictures take you to the product page on Amazon if you want more information about any of the items on the list. What’s on your Christmas list?
